The Series
The documentary series CONTACT, the encyclopaedia of creation, offers an original televisual rendezvous with 13 illustrious thinkers and creators of our time. It is a living encyclopaedia, for the most part a window to the world of creation, in all realms of knowledge whether literary, scientific, social or artistic.
Since February 2006 Stéphan Bureau has conversed with one remarkable personality every week. These personalities unveil their determination to transcend the limits, their journey towards the pith of creation and their thoughts on great universal themes such as death, the sacred, identity, time, failure…
Despite the fact that television, in its quest for novelty, lives constantly in the moment and favours news that is “ready-to-roll, quick-to-consume”, the CONTACT team dares to slow the pace where others hasten it.
It is “slow TV”.
CONTACT is also an interactive edition for Illico digital television subscribers and a reference site where tons of information on each guest can be viewed. In addition, an educational section is developed in partnership with the Université de Sherbrooke’s research team.
